Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Your journey begins at Machame Gate, which is a very short drive from either Arusha or Moshi towns. The trail leads through a dense rainforest, vibrant with the chirping of birds and the gentle sway of leaves. Among the green leaves, you’ll see pretty butterflies flying around. Walking towards Machame Camp, the forest sounds calm you down and make you excited for the adventures coming up. Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
As the sun rises, you leave your tent for yet another adventure in the Kilmanjaro mountain. You continue walking into Kilimanjaro, going through heather and moorland. With each step, the air gets cooler, and you see more around you. When you get near Shira Camp, the land opens up, showing you big views of hills and faraway mountains. Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley (Acclimatization Day)

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak Summit to Mweka Camp
Before the sun rises, you start climbing to Kilimanjaro’s top. You use your headlamp to see and the support of your trekking friends to keep going. It’s cold and the air is thin, but you’re happy as you get nearer to the peak. When dawn breaks, you reach the top and see an amazing view. It feels great to achieve this big goal. But the trip isn’t finished yet. You go back down to Mweka Camp for the last night. As you rest in your tent, tired but happy, you think about the incredible journey you’ve had.
Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
After reaching the summit, you start going down to the base camp. The path goes through a green rainforest, you will witness a change in the vegetation as you slop further down.
